The Foundation is sustained entirely through the generosity of donors. The Foundation operates independently of the parish’s finances, and every dollar entrusted to the Foundation remains here in our parish community. As a separate legal entity, the Foundation’s structure helps safeguard its assets from liabilities that may be incurred by the parish.
The Foundation is committed to faithfully stewarding the funds entrusted to it, ensuring they are managed in accordance with its fiduciary responsibility and invested for the long-term benefit of our parish community. Through prudent financial management and the continued generosity of our donors, the Foundation’s principal exceeded $2.5 million by the end of 2025—creating a lasting resource that will support the mission and ministries of Our Lady of the Snows Parish for generations to come.
In accordance with its spending policy, the Foundation distributes 3.5% of the portfolio’s average value over the previous 12 months. This disciplined approach provides reliable, long-term support for parish programs while preserving and growing the principal for future generations. Simply put, as the Foundation grows, so does its ability to invest in our parish community.
Each year, the parish submits funding requests that are thoughtfully reviewed by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, all of whom are Our Lady of the Snows parishioners. This local decision-making process ensures that every grant aligns with the Foundation’s mission and supports the greatest needs and opportunities within our parish.

The Our Lady of the Snows Foundation and the parish capital endowment serve distinct but equally important purposes. The Foundation supports programs and initiatives that promote and strengthen our Catholic faith and enrich parish life.
The parish capital endowment, by contrast, provides for the maintenance, repair, and long-term care of our parish facilities. As a parish fund, the capital endowment is administered under the oversight of the Parish Finance Council.
